Conversion-Focused Website for Wooden Floor Restoration in Farnham

The Problem

A new business needed a website that would do more than look professional. It needed to generate enquiries from day one.

Most small business websites explain services but don’t guide visitors towards taking action. That approach would have left the business relying purely on referrals instead of capturing local search demand.

The goal was simple: create a focused website designed to attract people searching for wooden floor restoration and turn that interest into enquiries.

What I Did

The site was planned around conversion before design was considered.

Rather than adding pages for the sake of it, the structure was built around a single outcome: requesting a quote. Every section exists to move visitors closer to that decision.

The website was built from scratch inside WordPress, giving full control over performance, layout, and how information is revealed as someone scrolls. Messaging was written for people already looking for the service, answering the practical questions that normally stop someone from making contact.

The page flow was structured to build clarity first, trust second, and action last. Design choices were intentionally restrained so attention stayed on the decision rather than decoration.

A dedicated landing experience was also created for advertising traffic, aligning messaging with higher-intent visitors and reducing friction between click and enquiry.

The Results

The business launched with a website designed to work as an enquiry system rather than a static online presence.

Visitors arriving from search are guided through a clear journey that builds confidence before asking for action. Enquiries now come from people who already understand the service and feel comfortable making contact.

As the client put it:

“I’d worked with Neil before, so I already knew the standard of work and the thinking behind it. This wasn’t about just getting a website live. It was about building something properly structured that would generate enquiries from the start, and that’s exactly what was delivered.”

Instead of simply representing the business, the website actively helps generate opportunities.

Notes

Good websites don’t overwhelm visitors with information. They remove uncertainty.

This project focused on clarity, structure, and intent. The result feels simple to use on the surface, but underneath it’s carefully designed to support growth without unnecessary complexity.

Sometimes the most effective work is what you don’t notice.

This project is part of my wider case studies, with related support available through web design in Farnham.
