Custom WordPress Website for R.I.S.E Through Motherhood

R.I.S.E Through Motherhood is a fitness and community brand for mums around Aldershot and Fleet. I designed and developed its launch website as a bespoke WordPress build, covering the site structure, visual design, pricing information, booking enquiry journey and reusable ACF content system.

AI-assisted tools formed part of the design, development and QA process, building on the bespoke WordPress approach I have used for years. The finished website is still a conventional custom WordPress build, using PHP, ACF Pro and reusable components rather than a page builder or AI website platform.

The Problem

R.I.S.E Through Motherhood was a new fitness and community brand for mums that needed a website ready for launch.

The site had to do more than explain the classes. It needed to introduce the brand, make the class and pricing information clear and give mums a straightforward route to making an enquiry.

There was also a tight turnaround, so the structure, visual direction, mobile experience and WordPress build all needed to come together cleanly from the outset.

What I Did

I started by planning the structure around the questions a potential member would naturally have before booking.

• What is R.I.S.E?
• Who is it for?
• What are the classes like and where are they held?
• How much do they cost?
• How do I book?

Those questions shaped the navigation, page structure, content order, pricing journey, booking journey and calls to action. The website covers class information, term dates, pricing, FAQs, contact and a booking-enquiry flow in an order that makes sense to someone considering the classes.

The visual direction and page layouts were developed and refined in Figma Make, with AI-assisted tools used where they helped with exploration, iteration, development and QA. Once the design was approved, I built the production site as a bespoke WordPress website.

The finished site uses PHP, ACF Pro, Flexible Content and reusable PHP template sections, alongside native WordPress menus, Contact Form 7, responsive image handling, Yoast SEO, custom CSS and JavaScript.

There is no page builder, and the production website does not depend on React or an AI website platform. The client gets a WordPress admin built around the actual site content, with reusable sections and structured fields instead of having to edit layouts through a page builder. The website can be maintained and extended using conventional WordPress development even as the tools used during design and development continue to evolve.

The Results

R.I.S.E Through Motherhood launched with a website that feels specific to the brand rather than like an off-the-shelf fitness template.

It explains the classes, pricing and booking process clearly, while the bespoke WordPress build gives the client control over the content after launch.

Pages are managed through structured ACF fields and reusable sections, so the website can develop without losing the design system or requiring the client to work inside a page builder.

Notes

I have built bespoke WordPress websites with PHP, ACF and reusable components for years. AI has not replaced that approach. It has given me additional tools to improve it.

I use AI where it genuinely helps, including design exploration, development, problem-solving and QA, while I remain responsible for the architecture, code, content structure, responsive behaviour and final implementation.

For the client, the finished product is still an owned, maintainable WordPress website rather than something tied to the AI tools used during production. The tools can keep changing and improving without forcing the website itself onto a different platform.

That is the approach I will continue to use: a solid WordPress foundation, bespoke to the project, with newer tools used where they make the work better.
